The Challenge
EDP’s management team faced a common problem in today’s data-driven world: information overload. Sifting through countless reports and files to extract the insights needed for informed decisions was time-consuming and inefficient. They needed a way to consolidate and visualise critical data in a clear, concise, and accessible manner.

EDP aimed to create a centralised platform that would streamline decision-making. This platform would provide a unified view of their key performance indicators (KPIs), automate data collection, standardise reporting, and empower leaders with real-time insights.
The Solution
Devoteam designed and implemented a Power Management Cockpit (PMC) tailored to EDP’s specific needs. This involved:
- Consolidating KPIs: Data was aggregated from 12 different sources and categorised across 12 dimensions, providing a comprehensive view of EDP’s operations.
- Developing Interactive Visualisations: Intuitive dashboards were created to enable quick and easy understanding of complex data, allowing in-depth exploration of key indicators.
- Prioritising User Experience: The PMC was designed to provide a clear business overview within 30 seconds, enabling rapid assessment and informed decision-making.
This solution addressed EDP’s challenge by providing a single source of truth for critical business data. Consequently, it eliminated the need for manual report analysis and freed up valuable management time.
