Last year, Devoteam received the best EMEA Service Partner Award in San Francisco at Google Next. This year, we become a global leader in Google Cloud technologies, welcoming Avalon Solutions to the Group, and taking a very strong position in consulting on #AI and #Machine Learning. Sebastien Chevrel, Devoteam Group COO, takes a few steps back on this announcement.
Tell us more about these latest acquisitions!
Google Cloud has been a strategic partner for Devoteam for the past seven years and we even were the first ones betting on Google in Europe! Together with them, we’ve collaborated on multiple projects, like moving Carrefour to GSuite in France, YoungCapital to Google Cloud in the Netherlands or using Google’s Machine Learning for GRDF… 2018 has really seen the Google – Devoteam relationship go from strength to strength, thanks to a strong global dynamic.
2019 seems to be as promising as we strengthen our position by acquiring Avalon Solutions, leaders in the Nordics.
These acquisitions, combined with our expertise, provide us with a unique capability of innovation for our clients, particularly in AI.
Today, we can proudly say we have 250 Google experts and 2,500 GCP global and local accounts.
We are delighted to welcome their teams and what better way than Google Next to do so?
Speaking of Google Next, you’ve been here since yesterday. What are your key insights so far?
With such a level of partnership, we couldn’t imagine not being there! It is THE opportunity to strengthen our partnership with Google, reinforce our relationships on every level to better meet our clients’ challenges and kick off the year with our strategic partner.
Yesterday was eventful! The opening keynote was really exciting: we got to hear Sundar Pichai’s, Google CEO main challenges like the growing infrastructure scaling to match demand and taking into account the context we’re in where most companies have not yet made their transition to the Cloud: make Innovative technologies accessible and easy to use to everyone as well as the open ecosystems for enterprise computing.
“At Google, nothing excites us more than solving a problem – except maybe solving a problem at scale” – Sundar Pichai, Google CEO
We also got to hear Thomas Kurian, Google Cloud CEO’s vision of tomorrow:
Providing global scale distributed infrastructures – towards the Cloud edge & to on-premise. Being a digital transformation platform in 5 domains : data at scale, build and modernise applications, analysis capacities to make better decisions, of course, AI progresses, as well as collaborating in and outside organisations in new ways – with Anthos, their new platform!
What’s Next?
Thanks to these acquisitions, we become Global leader in Google Cloud technologies.
Most importantly, reinforcing ourselves in AI allows us to tackle new challenges like speeding up clients’ processes as well as internal ones, including ‘Technology-Augmented Employees’.
These acquisitions, combined with our teams, will now be able to create even more impact for our clients’ transformation.
And it is this #OneTeam that will be altogether at the different Cloud Summits in Paris, Madrid, Munich, Stockholm and Amsterdam!
Stay tuned, and come find us until tomorrow at #GoogleNext19!
