OpenAI partnership drives AI innovation at Microsoft
Microsoft’s collaboration with OpenAI, known for ChatGPT and DALL-E, drives more accessible AI tools. This partnership strengthens Microsoft’s AI capabilities, making artificial intelligence easy and user-friendly for a broader audience.
Following GitHub’s Copilot integration, Windows also introduces elements of AI assistance. Indeed, the upcoming Windows 11 update, version 22H2, includes the much-anticipated Windows Copilot feature. With this update, users can access Microsoft Copilot using the shortcut “Windows + C.”
Once activated, a side menu appears, enabling users to ask questions directly. Though Bing powers searches, Copilot can interact with other applications on the computer. Many Microsoft apps like Paint, Outlook, and Photos will collaborate seamlessly with Copilot, while third-party developers are also working on integration solutions.
Additionally, this update to Windows 11 brings further improvements, such as a new Outlook app with a web-based design. File Explorer modernises alongside updates to Windows Backup, simplifying backup processes and enhancing system usability.
